Work Experience
Mark began his legal career at The Williams Bailey Law Firm (now Williams Kherkher Hart Boundas, LLP) in 1996 as a law clerk while still attending classes at the University of Houston Law Center. After graduation and passing the bar in May 1999, Mark was hired at Williams Bailey and worked on a variety of civil litigation, including mass tort (asbestos and fen-phen), general personal injury, and employment cases. After Williams Bailey, Mark continued his plaintiff’s civil litigation career at Brent Coon and Associates where he practiced exclusively representing individuals injured from asbestos exposure.
Leaving Brent Coon in early 2004, Mark formed his own law firm in the Pearland area where he practiced primarily in civil litigation, family law, corporate law, government law, and employment law. One of Mark’s primary clients was Harris County Emergency Services District No. 1, where he served as outside general counsel to the Board of Commissioners. After a few years, the Commissioners approved a full-time position and Mark was hired as in-house general counsel to the organization.
